Champion club Medeama SC will face FA Cup winners Dreams FC in a champion of champions match in September to usher in the new season.
The game is set to be played on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at a venue to be announced later by the Ghana Football Association, (GFA).
Medeama SC, won the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League title, their first ever triumph in the Ghanaian top-flight league.
Dreams FC on the other hand, won last season’s FA Cup competition after beating King Faisal FC in the grand finale in Kumasi.
The two sides will meet as a prelude to the 2023/24 season which has been fixed to start on the weekend of September 15-18, 2023.
Both Medeama SC and Dreams FC, will look to win this curtain raiser to the season, to serve as a springboard towards achieving further success next season.
The league fixtures for next season, are expected to be released later this month with the schedule for the knockout competition also expected to be laid out by the GFA soon.
