Bibiani Gold Stars are to replace Asante Kotoko in the upcoming GHALCA Top Four tournament slated for Kumasi.
Asante Kotoko, have withdrawn from the tournament has been scheduled for August 6-13 in Kumasi.
Gold Stars, steps in to replace Asante Kotoko who have had managerial and technical changes in their team and said they cannot be ready to participate in this preseason tournament.
The Miners, joins betPawa Premier League winners Medeama SC, Aduana FC and Bechem United for this tourney.
All the matches will come off at the Baba Yara Stadium with the tournament to be played in a league format.
Details of the competition would be announced later by GHALCA including prize money and sponsors for the competition.
The GHALCA Top Four tournament, was initiated by the welfare body of football clubs in Ghana to prepare the teams for the start of the next campaign each season.
It was also instituted to help clubs representing Ghana in continental competitions to prepare adequately for that assignment.
Champion club, Medeama SC, will look to make the most of this opportunity to shape up for the CAF Champions League campaign after winning the domestic top-flight title for the first time.
