The Kwahuhene and Life Patron of HRM Okwawu United SC, Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II, has allocated an amount of Gh¢100,000 to the Club 100 legacy project.
This amount is for the redevelopment of the Mpraeso Park, as a befitting home venue for the Mountaineers.
It follows a promise to the club after their qualification to play in the National Division One League (DOL), next season.
Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II, is fully convinced, that the novelty “Okwawu United Club 100″, will make the club financially strong and ready, for the upcoming season and beyond.
He believes his contribution will encourage others to come on board to support this legacy project which is geared towards giving United a modern home venue within the shortest possible time.
The Overlord of the Kwahu Traditional Area, believes this is not a journey travelled alone but rather a journey travelled in unity, and has called on all Kwahu indigenes to come on board to support the project.
The Okwawu United Club 100 Legacy Project is targeting infrastructural and logistical needs of the club by allowing contributors to have preferential naming rights, thus, the name LEGACY.
