Champion club Medeama SC will take on newly promoted Ghanaian top-flight side Nations FC in their first preseason friendly on Thursday.
The game also forms part of their preparations for their CAF Champions League first round qualifier against Remo Stars of Nigeria.
Thursday’s game with with Nations FC, will be played at the Cape Coast Stadium, venue for their home games in the upcoming CAF Champions League competition. Coach Augustine Adotey, will use this game to test the readiness of his charges as they prepare for the Nigerian challenge.
Nations FC, will also use this game to prepare for the start of the 2023-24 Ghana football season which has been programmed to start in September.
After tomorrow’s game with the betPawa Premier League newcomers, Medeama SC will play a second friendly against Togolese side Asko De Kara FC at the same venue on Sunday.
This will give Medeama SC an international flavour ahead of the first meeting with Remo Stars at the Cape Coast Stadium on August 20.
