Ghana league champions Medeama SC today presented the trophy they won last season to the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in Accra.
The impressive ceremony came off at the Jubilee House on Wednesday with chieftains of the club, leading the delegation to the seat of government.
President Akufo-Addo, welcomed the Medeama SC team to the Jubilee House, and congratulated them on their impressive showing in winning the 2022-23 Ghanaian championship.
He urged them to build on this performance going forward as they partake in the CAF Champions League competition as well as on the domestic front next season.
The President of Ghana, later made a cash donation of GH¢1m to the team to cushion them in their preparations for the African competition.
A spokesperson for the club, thanked President Akufo-Addo for welcoming them to the Jubilee House, and promised to make the nation proud as they represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League.
Medeama SC will host Nigerian side Remo Stars FC in a first round first leg qualifier on Sunday, August 20 at the Cape Coast Stadium with the return encounter set to come off in Nigeria later.
