Nungua-based Halifax Queens football club has named Millicent Anane as their new captain ahead of the next football season.
The club is hoping to bounce back in great style next season, and have put in place measures that would ensure that they achieve this ambition.
“A real honour and proud moment for me and my family,” Anane wrote on social media, welcoming this news.
She added: “From the bottom of my heart I want to thank everyone that helped on the journey.”
“The role is new to me but I’ll do everything to lead our club back to where we belong.”
Halifax Queens, will look to gain promotion to the Elite Division of Ghana women’s football when the new season begins.
Anane and her teammates, knows the task confronting them, and they are resolved in achieving this.
The team, have taken their pre-season preparations to Koforidua, in the Eastern region, to keep themselves in good shape for the upcoming task.
