Record Ghana champions Asante Kotoko has announced the departure of midfielder Joseph Amoako by mutual consent according to the Porcupines.
“The Club thanks Joseph for his time with us and wish him the very best for the future,” Asante Kotoko said in a statement posted on their media channels.
Amoako, was loaned to Swedish side Helsingborgs IF in 2022 where he made nine appearances.
He returned to Kotoko during the second half of last season, but did not make an appearance for the Porcupines.
Coach Prosper Nartey Ogum has informed some players they will not be part of his side as he returns to coach the club, and it is understood Amoako is one.
The player will now look for a new club now that he is a free agent with the current transfer window not closing until September 1, 2023.
