The 2023/24 betPawa Premier League, will be launched on Friday at Koforidua in the Eastern region the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed.
Friday’s event will be held at the BedTime Hotel, and it will usher in the new football season, starting with the Ghanaian top-flight league.
The ceremony to open the upcoming football campaign will be launched in collaboration with headline sponsor betPawa with the season set to kickoff on the weekend of Friday, September 15, 2023 to Monday, September 18, 2023.
At the same ceremony, other products of the GFA, namely, the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, Access Bank Division One League, the MTN FA Cup, and the Women’s FA Cup would also be launched.
Medeama SC are the reigning champions of the betPawa Premier League with Dreams FC as the FA Cup winners.
On the opening weekend of the season, Medeama SC will host Accra Lions, Asante Kotoko will be home to Heart of Lions, Accra Hearts of Oak will be away to RTU with Karela United away to Legon Cities.
In other games, Accra Great Olympics will host Bofoakwa Tano, Nsoatreman FC hosts Bechem United, Aduana FC plays away to FC Samartex, Dreams FC will be home to Nations FC with Bibiani Gold Stars on the road to face Berekum Chelsea.
