Following their 1-0 defeat to Medeama SC in Ghana in the CAF Champions League Preliminary first leg fixture, Remo Stars will on Sunday host the return fixture as the two sides seek to progress to the next stage of the campaign.
The game will be played at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne where the home side will look to make the most of the conditions.
Kick-off for this fixture has been set for 4:00 PM local time as football return to Ogun State in Nigeria.
The sky blue stars come into the game on the deficit of Jonathan Sowah’s 24th minute goal in the first leg.
A 2-0 win for Coach Daniel Ogunmodede and his charges, will ensure that they advance to the next round of Africa’s top club football competition.
And on home soil, they will fancy their chances of getting the result after giving Medeama SC some anxious moments in at the Cape Coast Stadium last Sunday.
Medeama SC, have it all to play for in tomorrow’s game, knowing they must avoid defeat to get the qualification ticket.
Coach Augustine Adotey has it all to do in plotting a strategy to keep the Nigerians at bay as they can be very dangerous if let loose.
Progression for either side mean they would face Horoya AC of Guinea in the next stage of the competition.
That is the stage that leads to progression to the group phase of the campaign in this season’s competition.
