Real Tamale United (RTU) have conceded their underdogs status in their opening game of the season, but will nonetheless go for the win according to Shilla Alhassan.
The Pride of the North will host Accra Hearts of Oak in the opening game of the 2023/24 betPawa Premier League on Friday at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, Tamale as the season gets underway this weekend.
And, RTU are targeting the three points on home soil to get their campaign off to a good start.
“Yes I admit that we are the underdogs in this fixture, but we will be playing at home, and in front of our fans, we will do well to win the game,” Alhassan said.
The RTU Team Manager admits that the current squad is not the same as last season as some key players have left the club.
“About 85 per cent of the old players have left the club for various reasons, but we have had some good preparations ahead of the season,” the former Ghana international said.
“RTU is well prepared for tomorrow’s game, and we will go all out for the three points to make our fans happy,” Shilla Alhassan added.
