Ghana will look to end its 41-year trophy drought in LA Cote d’Ivoire, after the four times African champions drawn seven times AFCON winners Egypt in Group B for next year’s tournament.
The Black Stars, will also play the Islanders of Cape Verde and Mozambique at the biennial event in 2024.
The draw came of at the Parc Des Expositions in Abidjan on Thursday, and saw defending champions Senegal paired with five times winners Cameroon in Group C.
Host nation Cote d’Ivoire will take on their West African neighbors Nigeria in group A.
Morocco are in Group F together with Zambia in a group that also includes DR Congo.
The 34th edition of the African Cup of Nations will kickoff on January 13, 2024 with the opening game between Cote d’Ivoire and Guinea-Bissau.
