In a recent election held on Monday, November 23, 2023, Samuel Aboabire, Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association, secured a seat on the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) by accumulating six votes. Joining him in this significant appointment is Alhaji Abu Hassan Ryzo, Chairman of the Northern Region Football Association, who also garnered six votes during the election.
This dynamic duo takes up their roles, succeeding Linford Boadu Asamoah and Salifu Shaibu Zida, who lost their positions after receiving four votes each in the elections.
