Ghanaian defender Fatawu Sulemana has completed a remarkable homecoming to Medeama SC, signing a two-year deal with the reigning Ghana Premier League champions. This exciting move comes just a year after his stint with Sudanese powerhouse Al Merreikh SC was cut short due to political instability, prompting his swift return to Tarkwa.
Expressing his excitement about rejoining Medeama, the 20-year-old left-back revealed, “It’s exciting to be back in Tarkwa. The situation meant I returned home to continue with my career.” Sulemana, who spent three fruitful years with the club previously, found it easy to reintegrate into the team and expressed confidence in their promising current squad.
Prior to his departure for Northeast Africa, Sulemana had been a consistent and standout performer for Medeama in the Ghana Premier League over the previous two seasons. His top-rated displays on the field, including featuring in 11 out of 13 matches during the 2021-2022 campaign, established him as a key player for the Yellow and Mauves.
