In a significant development for Ghanaian football, Joseph Tetteh Zutah, former captain of Medeama SC, has been appointed as the Director of the Ghana FA Elite Training Academy. The announcement was made during the federation’s Meet the Press event in Kumasi.
Tetteh Zutah, known for his administrative acumen since retiring from playing, impressed the FA’s leadership with his contributions to the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana and his role in Medeama SC’s success as the administrative manager. His wealth of experience and dedication to football administration convinced the FA of his suitability for the prestigious position.
The establishment of the GFA Elite Academy in Winkogo, located in the Upper East Region, marks a significant step forward in the association’s efforts to nurture grassroots talent across the country. Led by Tetteh Zutah, the Academy aims to provide top-notch training and development opportunities to young footballers, laying the foundation for future success in Ghanaian football.
Under the leadership of Kurt Okraku, the FA is committed to expanding its efforts in developing football talent by constructing 15 additional Elite Academies nationwide, with the Winkogo-based center serving as a pioneering initiative in the football-crazed nation.
