An aide to the Vice President Ibrahim Adjei, hopes Ghana can make the most of hosting the 2023 African Games and win more medals.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP), communicator, said, Ghana should be able to make the most of hosting the Games for the first time as the rest of the continent visits the country.
Mr Adjei, told totalsportsghana.com, that Ghana is poised to stage the most successful African Games ever, after putting up some very good preparations.
He gave this assurance in Accra on Friday, after the Vice President, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia had commissioned the University of Ghana Stadium, one of the venues for the upcoming Games.
Mr Adjei, expressed optimism that, the facility will be put to good use even after the games are over, believing that there are some good personnel who will oversee to this.
The 2023 African Games, starts in Accra on March 8, 2024, with Ghana hosting 53 other African countries in the biggest sporting extravaganza on the continent.
The games, the 13th in all, begins on March 8 and will end on March 23, 2024 in the Ghanaian capital.
It is held every four years, and is organized by the African Union with the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa, and the Association of African Sports Confederations.
