Nsoatreman FC faced another setback at home as they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat against Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday, dampening their title aspirations.
In a fiercely contested match at the Nana Amoah Koromansah Park, Dreams FC emerged victorious with goals from striker Agyenim Boateng Mensah, one in each half, securing the win for the ‘Still Believe’ side.
Nsoatreman, missing key players John Antwi, Abdul Aziz Issah, and McCarthy Ofori, struggled to find their rhythm, leading to their second consecutive home defeat in the span of a week.
Despite making three adjustments to the squad, with Emmanuel Amoah, Collins Kofi Cudjoe, and Morrison Anokye earning starting roles, Nsoatreman couldn’t overturn the deficit.
On the other hand, Dreams FC, under the guidance of head coach Abdul Karim Zito, made strategic changes to the squad, with new signing Benjamin Bature and youngster Yaovi Chris Guede making their first starts. Captain Abdul Jalilu also returned to the starting lineup, bolstering Dreams FC’s attack.
Agyenim Boateng’s early goal in the 5th minute set the tone for Dreams FC’s dominance, with another goal shortly after the start of the second half sealing the victory for the visitors.
Despite the disappointing result, Nsoatreman remains in the 5th position on the league standings, while Dreams FC moves up to the 11th position with two games in hand, showcasing their potential for further climb up the table.
As Nsoatreman regroups to bounce back from their recent setbacks, Dreams FC celebrates a well-deserved victory, signaling their determination to make strides in the Ghana Premier League.
