MidCity FC secured an important win at the weekend to extend their lead at the top of the Ashanti Regional Second Division Zone Five league to four points.
The Lions, beat Soccer 4 Souls 1-0 in a top of the table clash on Sunday at the Prempeh College Park, kumasi.
The victory, avenged the 2-1 defeat MidCity FC lost to the same opposition in the first round of the competition.
MidCity FC, have now amassed 25 points from 10 matches, and with games running out, they look the firm favourites to secure the sole ticket from the zone to the regional Second Division Middle league that leads to qualification to the National Division One League.
In other games played in the zone on Sunday, Kumawuman United beat Adom FC 3:0; Mahoni FC lost 5-2 to Deportivo SC with Bantama Lions winning 2-0 against Samosa FC.
