The torch relay to start the maiden edition of the All Regional Games (ARG), in Ghana comes off in Accra on Thursday April 18, 2024.
This history making event, would be held at the Independence Square, in the Ghanaian capital, starting at 8:00 AM local time.
The ARG, was launched in Accra last week, with a long term target of lifting up the image of Ghana sports on the world stage.
Record Ghana scorer Asamoah Gyan, has teamed up with the organizers of this event, hoping to unearth talents and support them to greater heights within the shortest possible time.
The torch relay, will spearhead a tour of all 16 regions of Ghana by the selected technical team members to inspect and identify venues for the regional trails.
The torch relay, is expected to be a flame of sportsmanship and unity across Ghana with the hope of raising sporting champions.
The 2024 ARG, will involve nine sporting disciplines, athletics, basketball, football, tennis, armwrestling, boxing, volleyball, E-Sports and Para-Sports.
All the 16 regions will hold selection trials starting in June, to pick their teams (men and women) for the national event in Accra November.
