Sensational Danbort FC have secured qualification to the promotional playoffs in the Greater Accra Regional Second Division League.
The Nungua Warriors, qualified to this competition with three games to spare after taking an unassailable lead at the top of the Zone Two league in the region.
They lead the standing with 52 points, and cannot be overtaken by any side with three games to end the zonal leagues in the region.
They become the first team to qualify for the upcoming regional Division Two Middle League competition after beating RK 22 1-0 in their Matchday 23 fixture played on Saturday.
This is the second season running that Danbort FC have qualified for the middle league after doing so in style last season.
The former National Division One League (DOL), campaigners, missed out on promotion back to the second tier league on a controversial fashion after surprisingly losing a protest they lodged against Still Believe FC when everything pointed to the fact that they had a strong case.
They will look to make amends this time as they seek a return to the DOL where they believe, they truly belong.
Danbort FC, will look to build on this performance ahead of the promotional tournament where they will be joined by five other clubs for the playoffs with one slot available for promotion to the second tier league next season.
