Opoku Ware School (Akatakyie), won the 2024 Ashanti Regional Schools and Colleges Sports Federation basketball competition after beating Kumasi High School in the final.
The boys tournament final, was keenly contested as both schools went for it, looking for the ultimate.
At the end of the contest, the Akatakyie boys, triumphed 21-18 against KUHIS, to confirm their status as the top-dogs in basketball in the region.
On their was to the grand finale, OWASS beat T. I. AMASS 32-15 after earlier accounting for OLAG 20-6 in the previous round.
On the part of KUHIS, they defeated Prempeh College 12-6 after a narrow 16-15 success over Osei Tutu SHS in the earlier round another 18-11 win over Osei Kyeretwie SHS (OKESS), before the final.
In the third placed game, T. I. AMASS, beat OKESS 18-5 to win the bronze medal.
