The 2024 Central regional schools and colleges Zone One athletics competition, began on Thursday in Cape Coast with 11 second cycle institutions participating.
This year’s event is being held at the Cape Coast Stadium, and is under the auspices of the Central Regional Sports Association who are supervising the competition.
The inter zonal athletics competition, provides a platform for athletes representing the schools competing at the event to showcase their talent to the world, hoping to be developed into national and international stars.
The schools competing in this Zone One contest, are; Adisadel College, Aggrey Memorial Zion, Academy of Christ the King SHS, Aburaman SHS and Edinaman SHS.
The rest are; Ghana National College, Moree SHTS, Eguafo-Abrem SHS, Komenda SHTS, Cape Coast International and Mfantsiman Girls SHS.
It ends on Friday with a place at the regional Super Zonal competition at stake for the participating schools as they glamour for places.
