I wish to address and clarify a misleading report currently circulating online, which stems from an interview I had with Asempa FM and Nhyira FM.
The report incorrectly claims that I attributed our historic success in the 2023/24 season solely to Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum. I want to categorically state that I did not credit Dr. Ogum alone for our achievement. Instead, I acknowledged the contributions of various individuals, including the Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association, Prof. Joseph Mintah, Retired Referee G. K. Manu, Ghana Football Association Statistician Mohammed Shaban, Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum, and the media, who all played a role in our success story.
My intention was to express appreciation to all those who have contributed in diverse ways to the team’s success.
Notably, Prof. Mintah and Dr. Ogum recommended our current head coach, Nurudeen Amadu, after Dr. Ogum’s move to our club was halted by His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, a setback for us especially with the preseason only a few days away.
I want to emphasize that our success this season is a collective effort, credited to our head coach, technical staff, players, board of directors, management, and loyal supporters.
We celebrate this achievement as a team and deeply appreciate the contributions of all who have supported us on this journey.
