Emmanuel Dasoberi has officially left his position at Kumasi Asante Kotoko to take up a new role as Professional Football Manager at the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
After serving four years at Asante Kotoko, Dasoberi expressed mixed emotions as he announced his departure. He reflected on the privilege of working at one of Africa’s most esteemed football clubs and serving under His Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. He extended his deepest gratitude to His Majesty for the opportunity and support throughout his tenure.
During his time with Asante Kotoko, Dasoberi gained invaluable experience in football management, highlighting the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League victory and leading the team back to continental competitions as notable achievements. Despite a challenging final season, he remains optimistic about the club’s future, leaving with confidence in their strong finish.
Dasoberi expressed thanks to former CEO Nana Yaw Amponsah, management, staff, technical team, players, and the loyal supporters of Asante Kotoko. He emphasized the inspiration he drew from the fans’ unwavering dedication.
In his new role at CAF, Dasoberi aims to continue his journey in football management, carrying forward the experiences and lessons learned from his time at Asante Kotoko.
