Ghana champions FC Samartex will host three other Elite Division sides in the 2024 edition of the Nsenkyire Cup pre-season tournament.
The Timber Giants will be joined by Legon Cities, Nsoatreman FC and Nations FC as they prepare for the start of the 2024/25 football season.
The Nsenkyire Cup, has become constant fixture on the Ghanaian football landscape in the off season for a couple of years now.
This pre-season tournament is played in honour of the Managing Director of Samartex Timber and Plywood Company, Dr. Richard Kwaku Duah Nsenkyire.
The company, are owners of FC Samartex who won their first ever Ghana Premier League title last season.
The 2024 tourney, will be played between August 2 and 4 at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, Samreboi as the four teams continue with their preseason schedule.
FC Samartex and Nsoatreman FC, will also use this tournament as a final rehearsal for their maiden appearance in the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup competitions later in August.
Next season’s Ghana Premier League campaign, starts in September with 18 clubs set to participate.
