The inaugural New England Ghana Festival (NEGFest 2024) is scheduled for September 6th to 8th, 2024, at Foley Stadium in Worcester, Massachusetts. The festival will feature a thrilling friendly football match between Ghana’s prestigious Asante Kotoko and USL Championship team Hartford Athletic FC.
Hosted by the Ghana Heritage Foundation (GHF) in collaboration with various partners, NEGFest 2024 embraces the theme “Sankofa; Embracing Our Heritage, Connecting Our Past.” The festival is set to culminate with the football match on September 8, showcasing the rich football traditions of Asante Kotoko against the dynamic soccer scene of Hartford Athletic.
The event promises a comprehensive cultural experience, including traditional music and dance performances, authentic Ghanaian cuisine, cultural exhibitions, interactive workshops, and special guest appearances. Attendees will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Ghanaian heritage, engage with local artisans, and partake in the vibrant celebrations.
