Former Captain and Coach of Ghana’s senior male national football team, Charles Kwablan Akunnor has been made Ambassador for the ‘Drivers Challenge 2024’ TV reality show which commences shortly.
The primary purpose of the driver’s challenge is to recognize and honor outstanding drivers in Ghana celebrating them for their dedication, skill, and professionalism on our roads
This, the former Black Stars player and captain, has accepted to be part of, hoping for the smooth movement of people and goods on our roads, thereby contributing significantly to our economy and society.
The announcement of C.K. Akunnor as Ambassador for this project, was made in Accra last Friday at the launch of the 2024 event.
Akunnor, said, he is happy to be involved with this project, and hoped that the best will come out of this to ensure safety on Ghana’s roads.
The objective of the driver’s challenge is to promote road safety awareness and raise awareness about road losses in Ghana and how best to curb them.
The challenge aims to emphasize the importance of safe driving practices and the role each driver plays in making our roads safe for everyone. Through this event, the goal is to educate and encourage all road users to prioritize safety.
The Drivers Challenge will provide a platform for drivers to showcase their skills and knowledge, encouraging continuous learning and professional development.
The challenge aims to foster cultural excellence and responsibility on our roads by recognizing and rewarding excellence among the best drivers.
The challenge aims to set a national standard for driving excellence and road safety by establishing benchmarks that all drivers can aspire to, thereby raising the overall standard of safe driving in Ghana.
The Driver’s Challenge 2024 is more than a competition. It is a movement committed to a safer, more professional driving community in Ghana.
The organizers will select the best drivers for this challenge from all the 16 regions of Ghana after a competition with 32 of them been housed for the reality show.
The winner after the eventual contest, will take home a mini-bus for his troubles.
The Drivers Challenge is seen as a program aimed at encouraging responsible driving practices among all drivers and reducing road accidents.
Finally, the Drivers Challenge 2024 will also include educational segments on road safety and health hazards from the National Ambulance Service and DVLA as part of a reality show.
