Ghana’s badminton team won bronze at the 2024 All Africa Badminton Championship just ended in Senegal in the men’s doubles event.
The team’s inspiring performance saw them finish third, behind Mauritius and Egypt, who took the top two positions.
The championship brought together top badminton players from across the continent, and featured a strong field of participating countries, including Ghana, Burundi, Senegal, Mauritius, Egypt, Tunisia, Congo, South Africa, Benin, Zimbabwe, Gambia, and Nigeria.
Ghana’s pair of Leslie Addo and Jonathan Ankrah, fought gallantly against their opponents to win the bronze medal. Mauritius, won the competition ahead of Egypt with Ghana securing the bronze medal.
