Ghana will attempt at qualifying to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) football tournament in Morocco next year with a game against Angola on Thursday.
The Black Stars will host this Group F qualifier at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi as Coach Otto Addo aims to start the campaign with a win.
Ghana alongside the Angolans, are paired with Sudan and Niger in the group with the top two teams after the round-robin encounters advancing to the tournament proper in Morocco.
Coach Otto Addo and his charges, are in high spirits of recording a win in this game on home soil, and have been preparing very well for the encounter against the Palancas Negras.
The team arrived in Kumasi on Tuesday to put finishing touches on their preparations, with the former Ghana international expecting to name a strong lineup against the Angolans on Thursday evening.
Ghana, are the odds-on-favourites to win this encounter to pave way towards securing one of the two qualification slots from this group.
Angola will not be easy pushovers for the Black Stars, but on home soil and in front of a passionate home crowd in the Garden City, expects, will expect Ghana to start the campaign with a win.
In the other group game played on Wednesday, Sudan posted a hard-fought 1-0 home win over Niger in a game played in South Sudan.
They top the group with this victory, awaiting the outcome of Ghana’s tie with Angola to complete the Matchday One fixtures.
