The third Accra Inter-City Homowo Marathon comes off on Saturday September 21, with hundreds expected to participate.
It will start from the Accra Sports Stadium and end at the Trust Sports Emporium also known as the Bukom Boxing Arena at James Town in Accra.
The event involving a 21km half marathon, 10km and 5km competitive races is the third edition and is being sponsored by Serene Insurance, Indomie, Allied Consortiums, Parin Africa Limited, Ethiopian Airlines, Unichem Group of Companies, GWO Servo, Healthi Life and Decathlon.
Organizers of the event are Medivents Consult based in Accra, and they are expecting participants from all walks of life including other athletes from boxing, table tennis, basketball, badminton, hockey, volleyball and football.
Some mouthwatering awards have been prepared for winners in all categories with this year’s event set to be one of the best in recent times.
