At the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa, Nations FC secured a dramatic 2-1 victory over Aduana Football Club, thanks to a late strike from Faisal Charwetey.
The visitors, Nations FC, took the lead in the 26th minute when Nafiu Sulemana found the back of the net with a clinical finish, putting the away side in control of the game. Despite efforts from Aduana FC to equalize, the first half ended with Nations FC holding a narrow 1-0 lead.
Aduana FC came out stronger in the second half, pushing for an equalizer, and their persistence paid off in the 75th minute. Kelvin Obeng brought the home side level, much to the delight of the home crowd.
As the match appeared to be heading for a draw, Faisal Charwetey produced a moment of magic in the 89th minute to restore Nations FC’s lead, sealing all three points for the away team. Charwetey’s late goal ensured that Nations FC left Dormaa with a hard-fought victory, dealing a blow to Aduana FC’s home form.
With this win, Nations FC continues their impressive start to the season while Aduana FC will be disappointed to have dropped points at home.
