Sports betting firm Soccabet, has sealed an GH¢800,000 three-year deal with the Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA), to become the headline sponsor of the league.
This was revealed in Accra on Tuesday at the launch which also announced Ashlid Enterprise as the official match ball for 2024/25 GRAFA Division Two League also for three years.
With this three-year deal, Soccabet becomes the official headline sponsor of the regional Second Division league as well as the media rights owners of the competition.
Ashlid Enterprise, will provide footballs for all competitions, and hand all 81 clubs five footballs each for next season’s campaign.
Chairman of GARFA, Samuel Aboabire said, his outfit is happy to seal this partnership with the two firms, and believed it would work well for the mutual benefit of all.
Kobi Ampong, Marketing Manager of Soccabet, said his outfit have been in business in Ghana for nine years, employing over 1,800 people, and is happy to partner with GARFA for the development of the game at the grassroots level.
The upcoming season in the region, will see each team playing 30 matches in the league to advance to the middle league of the campaign which leads to qualification to the national Division One League.
Next season, Soccabet will sponsor the league with a total amount of GH¢ 235,000, with GH¢100,000 for the zonal competition, GH¢35,000 for the zonal middle league and GH¢100,000 for it’s organisation.
Afterwards, GH¢100,000, GH¢65,000, and GH¢100,000 respectively, would be put in for the second year and in the third year, Soccabet will give out GH¢100,000, GH¢100,000, and GH¢100,000 respectively for the same purpose.
The deal from Ashlid Enterprise, will see the firm hand out 500, 600 and 700 footballs each year for the organisation of the league in the region.
