Ghana Premier League (GPL ), giants Accra Hearts of Oak will be in search of a first ever victory at Abrankese when they confront Nations FC on Sunday.
The Phobians, are winless at the Anane Boateng Sports Stadium now the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on their previous five visits.
They play away to Nations FC in this GPL Matchday Four fixture on the back of recording their first win of the 2024/25 campaign last Sunday at home to Bechem United at Legon.
In the previous five visits to Abrankese, Hearts of Oak have drawn two and lost three, scoring three goals and conceding six.
Coach Abubakar Ouattara, eased some of the pressure on him with last Sunday’s win, after losing his first two games.
The Ivorian, will aim to be the first helmsman to guide Hearts of Oak to a win at Abrankese, with confidence in their camp growing.
However, they will come up against a Nations FC side that is unbeaten in league in the three games they have played, winning one and drawing the other two.
Last Sunday, they posted a moral boosting 2-1 away win at Dormaa-Ahenkro over Aduana FC, and they will be in high spirits as they welcome Accra Hearts of Oak back to the Ashanti region.
Since joining the Ghanaian top-flight last season, Nations FC have yet to lose in front of their home fans in 18 matches, and they will be up for this one against the Phobians.
The battle lines have therefore been drawn for what looks on paper an uncompromising encounter, and fans that will turn up at the venue, should have plenty to entertain them.
