Asante Kotoko climbed to the top of the Ghana Premier League table with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Accra Lions on Sunday. Albert Anoah’s goal in the 48th minute was enough to secure the win, pushing the Porcupine Warriors to 11 points.
Nsoatreman FC thrashed Legon Cities 3-1 in a dominant display. Richard Acquah opened the scoring in the 9th minute, followed by Walid Neymar Fuseini’s strike in the 27th minute. Anokye Mensah added a third in the 39th minute, with Mohammed Alidu scoring a late consolation for Legon Cities in the 90th minute. Legon Cities remain winless this season.
At the Golden City Park, Berekum Chelsea secured a 1-0 win over Young Apostles FC, courtesy of Mezack Afriyie’s 72nd-minute goal.
Vision FC claimed their first home win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Basake Holy Stars. Daniel Yemoh’s goal just before halftime made the difference at the Nii Akraku Adjei II Complex.
Karela United managed a late 1-1 draw against FC Samartex. Samartex took the lead through Godwin Sefah on the stroke of halftime, but Hadi Mohammed’s last-minute equalizer in the 90th minute ensured a share of the spoils.
Dreams FC’s poor form continued as they lost 1-0 at home to Nations FC. Naful Sulemana’s 80th-minute goal handed Dreams FC another defeat, leaving them winless so far this season.
GoldStars FC edged out Bechem United 1-0 at the Duns Park, with Michael Nkoah scoring the decisive goal in the 32nd minute.
