Ghana’s Enoch Nii Tettey Tetteh was defeated by Tanzanian Ibrahim Marfia for the WBC Africa Super Bantamweight title at City Center Hall in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania on Saturday.
The 22 years old, Tetteh lost by a TKO in the ninth round with his corner prompting the referee to stop the fight due to swollen eyes.
His record is now 12-1-1, while Marfia is still undefeated in 11 fights.
Another Ghanaian boxer, Michael Abban aka Black Sider, 21 who is the national lightweight champion, also lost in a contest to homeboy, Mchanja Yohana.
Abban, lost by a unanimous Points decision to record his first lose in 10 bouts.
Mchanja Yohana, 26, is now 17-6-1.
