The decisive moment came in the 13th minute when Bernardinho latched onto a well-timed through ball, making a perfectly timed run behind the Nations FC defense. His clinical finish past the goalkeeper left Nations FC with an uphill battle. Despite some spirited attempts from the away side, they struggled to break down a resolute Medeama defense.
Medeama controlled large portions of the match, dictating the tempo and maintaining pressure on their opponents. Nations FC had a few chances on the counterattack, but Medeama’s defense, marshaled by experienced center-backs, held firm to keep a clean sheet.
In the second half, Nations FC increased their attacking intent, but Medeama goalkeeper, Appiah Kubi , pulled off a couple of crucial saves to deny them an equalizer. Bernardinho’s goal remained the difference as Medeama saw out the game to secure all three points.
