The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League, GPL is only eight matches old, with the destination of the title winners a long way off.
In all, 36 round of matches would be played before a winner can be confirmed with three teams, certain to be relegated to Division One at the end of the campaign.
FC Samartex, are the reigning champions and, they are hoping to retain the title they won for the first time last season.
The Timber Giants, won last season’s campaign on the back of a strong home run, which saw them win all but one of the matches they played at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, Samreboi.
However, it’s Nations FC that currently holds the longest home unbeaten run in the GPL, dating back to last season.
They joined the Ghanaian top-flight last season, and in all the matches they have played at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, Abrankese-Kumasi, they are yet to taste defeat.
Their unbeaten home record reads, 21 matches played, with 11 wins and 10 drawn games.
This data shows that Nations FC has amassed 43 points from a possible 63 since they joined the Ghanaian Elite Division, and they will look to keep that record going as the season continues.
