Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak will go for a first ever away win over Karela United when the two clash in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) on Sunday.
The Phobians, are in Tamale to take on United in a GPL Matchday 11 fixture at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
In four matches played away to Karela United since they joined the Ghanaian top-flight, Hearts of Oak are yet to taste victory.
Karela United have won two and drawn two of those four matches at home, dating back to their days at Aiyinase.
On their debut campaign in 2020/21, the points were shared in a 1-1 drawn game at the CAM Park, Aiyinase.
Karela United posted their first ever home win over Hearts of Oak the following season with a 1-0 home win at the same venue.
Then, in the campaign of 2022/23, Hearts of Oak lost 3-0 at the CAM Park, before drawing 1-1 last season at Tamale.
Coach Ouattara and his charges, will hope for better fortunes on Sunday when they visit the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
The Phobians are on a two-game winning streak with confidence in their camp very high, sounding positive of breaking this jinx.
However, they will come up against a Karela United side that has been very strong at home this season as they chase a third win of the campaign on home soil.
The battle lines are therefore drawn for what looks a keenly to be contested for encounter between two sides chasing separate ambitions.
