In an exclusive interview with Happy FM, former Black Stars and Eintracht Frankfurt star Tony Yeboah has expressed his disinterest in discussing the affairs of the national team, citing mismanagement and corruption as key reasons.
“I have stopped talking about the Black Stars because the leaders managing our football don’t take advice,” Yeboah revealed during the interview.
He further alleged that some officials prioritize financial incentives over merit when selecting players for the national team. “They take money from players to be called, while the right players are out there, not being given a chance,” he lamented.
Tony Yeboah’s comments reflect the growing concerns among football enthusiasts and former players regarding the integrity and professionalism of football management in Ghana. His call highlights the need for reforms to ensure merit-based selection and improved governance in the
sport.
