Medeama SC, two-time winners of the MTN FA Cup, will play against Western Regional Football Association club Nsuopun Fidelity FC in the Round of 32 of the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup. The game is set to take place on the weekend of January 10-13, 2024, in an away fixture.
This comes after Medeama SC finally ended their away-game misfortune in the competition, securing a 2-1 victory over Nzema Kotoko FC in the Round of 64 in December 2024. Prior to that, the Tarkwa-based side endured three consecutive away losses in the competition:
December 2021 (Round 64): Lost 5-4 on penalties to Karela United after a 2-2 draw.
December 2022 (Round 64): Lost 5-4 on penalties to Karela United after a 1-1 draw.
January 2024 (Round 32): Lost 1-0 to SKYY Football Club.
Medeama SC will now look to build on their recent success as they aim to make a deeper run in this year’s competition.
