The Sonrise Senior High School (SHS), Ho, has offered to support the Ghana national wheelchair tennis team as they prepare for the 2025 ITF World Team Cup in Morocco.
The second cycle institution, has opened its doors for a two-week residential training at the school, for the athletes to go through their paces before they travel to North Africa for the event.
Through the efforts of Chairman Joaeph Dzameshie, Sonrise SHS will take care of accommodation for the players, their feeding and also, open access to their tennis court for training.
The Chairman is arranging for the team to visit the Ho Tennis Club during their training camp at the Volta Region.
The school is expecting the team to arrive on Friday, February 1, 2025.
The Ghana Tennis Federation Wheelchair Tennis Committee, is only to arrange for transportation to and from Ho only and their per diem.
“This is the first time we have received such a boost towards our preparation to the ITF World Team Cup”, said Henry Larbi, National Coordinator for Ghana wheelchair tennis in a statement thanking the school for this gesture.
