The Ghana Athletics Association (GAA), has elected new officers to run the body for the next four years.
At its Elective Congress held at Techiman in the Bono region on Thursday, Bawa Fuseini was elected as the new President, ahead of two others.
The former CEO of the GAA, won all the 50 votes of delegates at Congress to steer affairs of Ghana Athletics till 2027 together with four deputies.
“The task ahead of me is not an easy one but with the help of my four deputies we will accomplish it,” Bawa Fuseini told the media.
He previously served as the General Secretary of the GAA, and will hope the association attains more successes under his administration.
The first test for the new regime, will be the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest the starting on August 11.
At today’s Elective Congress, Charles Osei-Asibey, Andrew Agbo Kitcher, Comfort Selby Agyapong, and Zachariah Suleman Yeboah retained their positions as deputies to Mr Fuseini.
