This year’s Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA), Top Four tournament has been scheduled for August 20-27 in Kumasi, totalsportsghana.com can confirm.
All the matches will come off at the Baba Yara Stadium with the tournament to be played in a league format involving four clubs.
The annual preseason tournament, will feature betPawa Premier League winners Medeama SC, Aduana FC, Bechem United and Asante Kotoko who finished in that order on the table at the end of the 2022/23 league season.
Details of the competition would be announced later by GHALCA including prize money and sponsors of the event.
The GHALCA Top Four tournament, was initiated by the welfare body of football clubs in Ghana to prepare the teams for the start of the next campaign each season.
It was also instituted to help clubs representing Ghana in continental competitions to prepare adequately for that assignment.
Champion club Medeama SC, will look to make the most of this opportunity to shape up for the CAF Champions League campaign after winning the domestic top-flight title for the first time.
