The HD+ Armwrestling Season Two championship ended successfully in Kumasi on Saturday, as pullers fought for places in the national event.
The Ashanti regional event was held at the St. Louis Senior High School, Kumasi, and attracted hundreds of participants who sought for recognition.
In the Girl’s lightweight contest, Amanda Kumi Owusu of T. I. Amass, came third behind second placed Margaret Ylekawonaa of St. Louis with Akaba Felicia of KNUST winning the category.
In the boy’s contest in the same division, Adombila Aduko of Weweso, came third, with second place going to Isaac Quansah also of Weweso behind the winner Musah Aziz of Sakafia.
The girl’s middleweight category was won by Matilda Abu-Bonsra of KASS, ahead of St. Louis’ Jessica Amanfo with Benedicta Arhin of KASS, finishing third.
Bernard Anewabah of Sakafia, won in the boy’s contest ahead of Issahak Abdul Rahman of Fomena AMASS and Stephen Donkor of KASS
The boy’s heavyweight contest was won by Oliver Adams of KNUST, ahead of Mohammed Masawudu of TI AMASS and Jonas Akanpoona of KASS.
In the girl’s division, Engison Amy Ama of St. Louis, finished third with Mary Ann-Abagale also of St. Louis, second, all behind the winner and schoolmate Mariam Yussif.
