Technical Director of the Ghana Taekwondo Federation Master Stephen Amegashie, has been appointed Member of the Technical Committee of the African Taekwondo Union, (AFTU).
His appointment, was contained in a letter dated Friday, October 13, 2023 and signed by AFTU President Ide Issaka.
Master Amegashie, will serve in this position till 2025, the AFTU confirmed in the letter.
The Ghana Taekwondo Federation, (GTF), sent a congratulatory message to Master Amegashie, wishing him well in his new position.
The AFTU President Ide Issaka, was in Ghana to hold important meetings with Ghana’s taekwondo officials as the country prepares to host the 13th African Games in Accra next year.
Taekwondo, is one of the sporting disciplines that would be competed for at the Games, the the meetings were chaired by Ghana’s Minister of Youth and Sports Mustapha Ussif with GTF President Frederick Otu Lartey and Secretary General Adnan Lamptey and Master Amegashie, also in attendance.
