Real Tamale United, (RTU), moved top of the stairs in the betPawa Premier League after posting a comfortable 3-1 win over Accra Lions.
The Pride of the North, were deserving winners in Thursday’s game, as they bossed the game in both halves.
RTU, took a 2-0 first half lead with goals by Baba Kushibo, fifth, and Mohammed Mankuyeli, 14th, setting them on course for the win.
Ali Abdul Rahman, pulled one back for Accra Lions in the second half, but Abdul Aziz, restored RTU’s lead in the 67th minute to hand all three points for RTU as they won their first away game of the campaign.
RTU, lead the standings with 10 points from the six matches they have played, ahead of the rest of this weekend’s matches.
Accra Lions, have now lost their last three league games, and drop to the 13th position on the table ahead of the rest of the Matchday Six fixtures this weekend.
