Two-time Ghana champions Aduana FC ended the unbeaten start to the campaign by Bofoakwa Tano as they moved top of the BetPawa Premier League (BPL), on Wednesday.
The Fire Lads, were comprehensive 4-2 winners in front of their home fans at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park, Dormaa-Ahenkro to record their third straight win of the campaign.
Aduana FC, tops the standing with 15 points from the eight matches they have played to leave Bofoakwa Tano in fifth position with 11 points as they saw their unbeaten start ended on the road.
Also on Wednesday, Accra Hearts of Oak climbed out of the relegation zone with a thumping 3-1 home win over reigning champions Medeama SC at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Phobians are 13th on the ladder with nine points with Medeama SC a point above them in 11th position as they lost for the second time this season.
Also climbing out from the relegation zone with a home win, was Nations FC who beat Real Tamale United (RTU), 4-0 at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex for their second win of the campaign.
Nations FC, are 14th with eight points with RTU 12th on the log with 10 points.
FC Samartex 1996, moved third on the table with 13 points after outclassing Legon Cities 3-0 at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena, Samreboi for their first win in three games.
Legon Cities are seventh on the table with 11 points as they went down to their third loss of the campaign.
Bechem United posted their third win of the season as they defeated Accra Great Olympics 2-1 at home at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, condemning the Wonder Club to a second loss of the competition.
United, have 11 points and in sixth position with Great Olympics fourth on the ladder with 12 points from the eight matches they have played.
Berekum Chelsea returned to winning ways with a comfortable 2-0 away win at the Theatre of Dreams Park, Dawu against Dreams FC to ease some of the pressure on them.
The Bibires, are 10th on the table with the same number of points, whilst Dreams FC drop to the relegation zone with eight points from the same number of matches played.
Karela United and Bibiani Gold Stars drew 1-1 at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, Tamale as the spoils in this Matchday Eight fixture, were shared.
Karela United, are just above the relegation zone with eight points, with Gold Stars eighth on the table with 10 points.
