Asante Kotoko Ugandan striker Steven Dese Mukwala said he hopes to improve on his performance of last season as the competition evolves.
Mukwala, has scored four goals in his last three games for Asante Kotoko, as they chase honours this season.
Last season, he scored 11 goals in all competitions for the Porcupines in his first season in the Ghana football.
The striker, scored the lone goal as Kotoko posted fifth win of the campaign as they beat Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara Stadium on Monday.
The three points gained, moved Kotoko’s tally to 19 points after 13 matches as they sit seventh on the table, five points behind leaders Aduana FC in the Ghana Premier League.
“I am happy with this win for Asante Kotoko and to be on the score sheet is even more impressive”, Mukwala said after the game.
He added: “Yes, I hope to improve on my record of last season, and together with my colleagues, we will work towards that”.
Mukwala, scored one of the three goals Kotoko scored in beating Legon Cities 3-1 at Sogakope in the league, and also scored twice in the 4-2 FA Cup win over Nations FC in Kumasi before scoring the winner over Berekum Chelsea.
The Ugandan international, will hope to be in the matchday squad as Kotoko play their arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in the league on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium in a Matchday 14 fixture.
