Asante Kotoko’s Ugandan striker Steven Dese Mukwala has scored four goals in his last three Ghana Premier League games for Asante Kotoko as they gradually make progress.
The Porcupines, are seventh on the table with 22 points after 14 matches, four points behind leaders FC Samartex going into the next round of matches.
And their Ugandan goal machine, has been on the positive sign of things, providing the goals that has lifted them up the table as they seek to wrestle back the title they lost to Medeama SC last season.
Mukwala, netted against Legon Cities, (away) at Sogakope as Kotoko came from behind to win 3-1 after previously failing to register a win in five matches.
The Ugandan international, then continued with his goal scoring form, registering the only goal of the game as Asante Kotoko beat Berekum Chelsea 1-0 at home at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
Last Sunday, Mukwala was on the score sheet twice as the Porcupines defeated their arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak 3-2 at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi in a home game for the Phobians.
His current scoring record, has revived the hopes of fans of the Porcupines to believe that they can win this seasons championship.
