Ghanaian forward Maxwell Abbey Quaye embarks on a new chapter in his football career as he officially joins Saudi Arabian fourth-tier side Al Tehami SC. The former Great Olympic star has inked a deal that binds him to the club until the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.
With a robust playing style, Quaye is anticipated to play a pivotal role in Al Tehami SC’s quest for promotion to the third division by the end of the current campaign. Expressing his excitement about the move, the striker stated, “Delighted to be here,” as he finalized his transfer to the Saudi club.
Quaye’s journey to Al Tehami SC includes stints in Iraq, where he joined Duhok in February 2023 before later making a move to Al Sinaa. Notably, the 25-year-old showcased his goal-scoring prowess during his time in the Ghana Premier League, netting an impressive 23 goals in 61 appearances for the Accra-based club.
Having been part of Ghana’s squad at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, Quaye brings international experience to his new team, adding to the anticipation surrounding his impact in Saudi Arabian football.
