The 1993 year group of St Augustine’s College, Cape Coast has presented table tennis equipments to their former school for use by the students.
APSU ’93, hopes these equipments would be put to good use to bring out outstanding champions in table tennis from the school and for Ghana.
The items included a standardized international table tennis board plus other equipments.
The presentation was made at the 94th speech and prize giving ceremony held last Saturday at Cape Coast where outstanding students were rewarded.
Dean of the Law School at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) and a member of APSU ’93, Professor Ernest Kofi Abotsi, adviced the students to make the most of these equipments to develop their game to greater heights and also, to take their lessons seriously at school.
Prof Abotsi added: “Mixing education with sports is the best way towards becoming an astute professional,” and urged the students to go for it and become the best that they possibly can in sport and education.
